Western Downs Regional Council supports a growing region at the forefront of a changing world, with around 35,000 residents across 38,000km2. Home to Australia’s second largest road network, one of the nation’s largest cattle saleyards, and an extensive water, gas and sewerage network, the region is also a leader in the agriculture, manufacturing and renewable energy sectors.

Council is committed to engaging with the region’s businesses and suppliers to support them in building their capabilities, providing information and tools on procurement opportunities with WDRC, and encouraging opportunities to live and buy local, whilst aggressively working to attract new business and stimulate existing investment in the Western Downs.
